Valentine Be Mine! Romantic Ideas
Happy Valentine's Day, Gentle Reader!
I will never give up on Romance.

I yet believe that love will conquer all.

Hubster and I keep on walking the walk.
We persevere together.
We (gasp!) continue with the dance lessons!

I hope to outlast all the storm of stupid stuff that threatens the ideal of our happy, not perfect, life together, for ourselves, for our sons, for others who may look to us.

It is a strange aspect of psychology that we may gain hope from anothers' struggles.

"Well,", one might say, "at least we're not as bad as the (fill in the blank)'s. They have a row daily!"

Or, "Our problems may seem difficult, but think of the (fill in the blank again)'s. Look at what they have weathered. And they are still together."

I am enjoying my course in Human Anatomy and Physiology (HAP). I passed my first test with very nearly a "B". Only one point off! I like my instructor. We both have 14 year-old sons. If only I had a more focused memory.

I showed my damaged last class when we started to study skin and it's derivatives, (including fingernails) & healing last week. It was healing well, no superation, and I thought it would make a good object lesson as an example on the subject of healing. However, some of the students were disgusted by it's warped appearance.

"Sick!", one student said.
No, not sick.
Only injured.

It was damaged from pressure above the nailbed (bleeding), and below (bruising) when my third son slammed the sliding van door on it, just before Christmas. I hope these younger students can get over the "Yuck!" factor when they see real conditions in patients, or they will hurt their patients feelings, and come across as unprofessional.

For example, one might swallow, compose ones self, and take a look, and then say; "Hmm! That's an interesting thumb! What happened?"

Hubs has returned from a business trip, early even, and has brought home some cute white leather beaded moccasins.
He also brought a pair for our first son, who will be having a birthday soon.
I wore mine with my white velour pants and top, a Christmas present, and was irresistable.

Even with a "sick" thumb.

Hope continues to grow.
